Brianna & Seth: One More Time!
Brianna & Seth: You’ve Got Your Fireworks!
We love our work! Brianna and Seth are a prime example why. Every couple has something unique about their story and Brianna and Seth are no exception. During one of our pre-wedding/pre-shoot interviews with them, we were excited to learn how much they love going to fairs in the local area of middle TN. Ben and I looked each other with the same thought…. “we have to shoot them at a fair!”
The day we scheduled their interview, they shared even more little tid-bits about their story that added so much visual ideas. Later that evening we drove out to the Wilson County Fairgrounds to begin shooting. However, strong storms rolled in as soon as we arrived. We thought about riding it out and even went ahead and got tickets for rides and such. However, the rain just lasted way too long and we decided to throw in the towel for that evening. A few days later we attempted the shoot again. This time, the weather was perfect! We had a great time following them around, shooting them on some rides, just being a fly on the wall as they enjoyed their evening.
As the night wore down, we were about to wrap the shoot when all of a sudden, without notice, we were treated to a fireworks display. Thinking back to their earlier interview, we knew this was a chance to put the exclamation point on their story. Check it out!
This is becoming a regular thing — Nashville 48hr Film Festival
When Bobby told me how disappointed he was that the annual 48hr Film Festival was moving to a different weekend this year, landing on the same days as our latest wedding, I was really bummed for him because I know that’s something he really enjoys doing every year. And his team, Fighting with Forks, is pretty good at what they do, having notched the BEST FILM for 2009 with their Now You’re Being Ridiculous
Well, this year Seth & Brianna’s Nashville wedding was held at Scarritt Bennett Center downtown on the first day of the event, and Bobby had to take a limited role. Well, he TOLD me was going to take a limited role with the team.
Little did I know, he ended up shooting Seth & Brianna’s gorgeous event which ended at 10:30[pm], then immediately running over to join the FWF team and taking over the reins as editor. Having only 48 hrs to conceptualize, shoot, edit and deliver the film on DVD, Bobby worked through the night and morning putting the film together into what you see here (totaling 40 hours straight without sleep!)
For their effort, The Department of Thoughts and Intentions was just honored as runner up BEST FILM, but took top billing for Directing, Cinematography, Graphics and Bobby’s portion—EDITING!

A gigantic part of what makes the modern cinematic wedding work that Feria Cinematic Imagery puts out is the amazing editing work that Bobby does after all the shooting is completed. So, I’m really blessed to work with him on the FERIA team.
King’s to you, Marko.
P.S. First person to know that last movie reference and comments on it wins….um, something.
Other Work: Athentikos – Guatemala
Just wanted to give a quick blurb about a project I’m working on with a film team called Athentikos. Back in January of this year we took a team of sixteen crew members from all over the United States down to Guatemala to capture stories of Guatemalans giving their lives away, even risking their lives, to help their communities and their country.
We came back after spending over two weeks in several areas of Guatemala with a huge amount of footage. Over the next six months, myself, along with producer Scott Moore and assistant director Bengy Del Villiar poured over all the footage, writing out the stories and piecing the footage together.
We realized another trip down was necessary so in August of this year Scott, Bengy, J.Mac (our tech, pa and jack of all trades) and myself went back down to Guatemala for another two weeks to capture the footage needed to complete the stories.
Currently we’re in the editing phase of the project. We have more than seven terabytes of raw footage and we expect to more than double that space once the project is complete, Spring of next year. Feel free to check out the website http://athentikos.com for more info on the team, the stories and organizations featured in the film.
I’ll be writing updating the progress from time to time on the film. Till then, check out the site, the film trailers that are already live on the website, and hope you will follow the progress and even possibly contribute. How, is totally up to you. Thanks!
Nashville Wedding Video Trailer – Bryan & Amy
We had so much fun during our two days with Bryan & Amy. We also ended up with so much usable content that the editing process was a bit difficult. However, we think what we ended up with really reflects the fantastic wedding event and the love that each one of them has for each other.
We’d love to hear your thoughts—enjoy!
